Single Slider Crank Mechanism in CATIA V5

In this tutorial we are going to show you how to make simple single slider crank mechanism and simulate the same in CATIA. First create the following parts in parts design workbench with assumed appropriate dimensions.

1.Base

2.Block

3.Crank

4.Connecting Rod

SSCM

Now assemble all the parts created into one assembly. Just watch this video to understand the constraints required to arrest unnecessary degrees of freedom. Once assembly design is over, to simulate the mechanism, we have used DIGITAL MOCKUP -> DMU Kinematics workbench.
