    Hi all,

    What is the major diff between Heat transfer co Efficient and Overall heat transfer co efficient. ??

    If i am having aluminum plate with size of 250 x 300 x 2 (mm) and am using air as fluid convection medium, my surface temperature is 70 deg c and my room temp is 25 deg c means what is my heat transfer co efficient ? and what is overall heat transfer co efficient for this ?

    In main i want to know about the differences of Heat transfer co efficient and overall heat transfer co efficient

    Hi, In your example we can have only heat transfer coefficient, The term “Over all heat transfer coefficient” is used whenever we have series of convective resistances like in heat exchangers, In heat exchanger there is a convective resistance between inner pipe and fluid medium 1, and between outer pipe and fluid medium 2 with different temperature
